FELINE SEARCHING FOR LOVE
From:   Mtmrender@aol.com
Recently, as of approximately one month, our neighborhood of Ellicott,
Fessenden, 43rd and 44th block area, has been visited on and off by a reddish
golden tabby, very friendly very sweet, ready for a solid loving home. Age is
unknown but seems youngish.  If anyone owns or knows of this cat  please
contact me at 202-728-0430 or e-mail  Morgrendr@aol.com.  A few of us are
feeding it and making it a temporary bed outside. No one is willing to bring
it in and I hate to see it taken out of the area, by feline rescue, since it
may have a home that we are unaware of. ....Please leave message with any
info at all.......greatly appreciated, these little guys are such wonderful
and appreciative pets when given a chance.

DEER!
From:   mw-jmcotter@starpower.net (mwcotter)
I've heard of deer in the area, but last Thurs. a.m. took the cake.  In the
backyards of the 4400 block between Springdale and Upton (uphill from Turtle
Park) was a herd of eight -- count'em 8 -- deer led by an 8-point buck and a
4-point buck!  I saw them about 9:30 am and don't know how long they had
been there by then.  They browsed through several back yards until 10:15 or
so and then headed toward 44th street, Temple Baptist Church and Nebraska
Ave.  Did anyone else sight them that day?

LEAVES AND TREE BOXES
From:   thebert@capitolink.com (Thomas R Hebert)
Relative to the placement of leaves in the "Tree Box" as requested by the city
for leaf pickup -- in as little as a few days a pile of wet, matted leaves can
smother and kill grass quite easily.  I wish the city would rethink this
policy
or make sure that they do in fact collect the leaves on the days they say they
are going to be there.

FROM A FRIEND, VIA ANN LANDERS
If a messy kitchen is a happy kitchen, my kitchen is delirious.

A clean house is a sign of misspent live.

Help keep the kitchen clean  - eat out.

Housework, done properly, can kill you.
