FIREHOUSE UPDATE
Interim Fire Chief Kenneth Ellerbe will speak on May 23 at 7pm at the Tenley
Library about the proposal for the new Tenley Firehouse. Thomas Tippett was
scheduled but has resigned in the meantime. This meeting could go a long way
to determining whether or not we get a new firehouse. I urge all who can make
it to go.

STREET TREES --  KEEPING THEM ALIVE
From:   chase-healy@erols.com (Anne Chase)

Thanks for the notice about street trees. However, it doesn't do any good
for the city to plant them if people don't water them. Could you ask your
readers to water their newly planted street trees at least once a week with
at least 5 gallons of water. Otherwise they die and the money is wasted.

GOOD REPAIR PEOPLE
From:   Kriegi (Ethel Kriegsfeld)

I belong to DELBE Home Services.  Whenever anything goes wrong ANYWHERE in or
out of the house I call them and they send good craftspeople at fair prices
and have saved my life on more than one occasion.  Maybe other people could
use them too.  Phone Number: 202/237/0187  Ask for Sarah she is very helpful.
 Service is prompt and good.
